question for bigger z drivers
i have a 2+2 and was thinking about getting a tt. i'm a big guy ( 6,4 240) i was wondering if it be too cramped for me to drive it on regular basis thanks
should be fine, the only thing i could see you having a problem with is hitting your head on the t-tops or being too close to the steering wheel, best way to decide is to sit in it, most of the time you can develop a system for getting into and out of a z32 very comfortably (like the problem with hitting your legs on the wheel) but sit in one and find out for yourself. i have owned coupes and 2+2's alike and they arent very different when sitting in the drivers seat.
would it be any different at all from the 2+2? i'm 6 feet and i can put my seat back far enough in my 2+0 that i can't get the clutch to the floor. but my cheap "racing" (ricer) seats are thinner in the back and the bottom, so i get a little more room.
One of my good friends is 6'8 and he used to have a TT (2+0). Of course, he was able to drive with his head sticking out the t-tops, but he fit comfortably in the car when he chose to do so. lol
thats good bc i thought about swapping a turbo motor in my car because i didnt think i would have room in a coupe
Clearly I'd recommend test driving one to make sure you get be comfortable in it... but I'd hope that nobody would buy a car without test driving it. You should be fine though.
haha second ^^^^ but the Z32 seats will scoot back for a giant like literally they go VERY far back in the 2+0 the only thing you would want to check is head room. however i have a friend thats 6'4" and he was able to drive my Z just fine, remember the seat height is mildly adjustable to
but not on all models? correct? only on tt's or what?
mine was an NA and did it. 1990 NA
All Z32's with power seats have seat height adjustment.
Yeah should fit
I'm 6'1" and I can put the seat back far enough so working the peddals is a stretch. I think it's more a question of inseam. I figure a 34 would still be comfortable. The real trick is no tilt steering so getting your legs under the wheel might be the hardest trick but once you are there. It shouldn't be a problem.
As far as I know there is no difference between the power seats in a TT and NA coupe as far as leg room. I don't know if the manual seats go back less or more in comparison. |
yeah i know the one's with power seats do, but i'm wondering which ones had power seats.
the ones with power seats had power seats....? idk how to answer that question

I'm 6'4" and i have no problems fitting in my slicktop, which probably has less headroom than the T-Top. I've driven 2+2s and really didn't notice a difference.
Im also 6'4 and i have no problem in my 2+2. Seat all the way back, adjust the back seat to your liking and you'll fit nice and snug. I have about an inch of space above my head the way i sit.
could be a tight squeeze...but you should be fine
you won't be able to heal toe, i barely can at 6'0 unless i scoot the seat back so far i can barely reach the pedals, or lower my seat so much i can barely even see the hood, that non adjustable steering wheel is retarded.

Exactly what Entropy31 said, ..except the steering wheel part. Im perfectly fine with it. I wouldnt adjust it one bit. Like i said, im 6'4". Seems fine to me.
Do u guys actually even move the steering wheel in other cars?
i've never in my life adjusted an adjustable steering wheel in any car unless i was removing the dash to get the steering wheel outta the way. But not for driving. i know i'm no where near as tall as u guys but all you would end up doin in having an adjustable steering wheel in the z is losing leg room which sounds like u guys can't afford anyway. So once again, why would the z benefit from having an adjustable steering wheel when the power seat is quite flexible enough to adjust the driver to the car? |
i really wish the wheel would move up about an inch. it would really help with heel/toe for me. even in my driving shoes it's kinda tough to get my feet in the right spot without ramming a knee into the steering wheel.
