Oil in balance tube

Hey guys, I was doing my plenum pull today and found that there was some oil from where the balance tube connects to the plenum. I can look down into the plenum from where the balance tube was and I can see oil. This cannot be normal I'm suspecting something bad. I dont have much experience with oil going into the pipes like this, does anyone have any idea what it could be?

It's normal, nissan ****ed up on PCV routing on the vg30d and it basically allows the oil to be sucked into the plenum.

Replace your PCV valves... they're only about $8 each and when they go bad they allow excessive oil into the plenum.

My cousin suggested getting an oil catch can. I don't know if that really applies to the situation here but would that work?

It applies, but it's not the route I'd take... I'd just replace the damn PCVs. lol

People who heavily track their Z32s frequently run oil catch cans... but for a street Z, there's no real benefit.

If you replace the PCV valves I recommend getting them from Nissan. Some of the non OEM valves I have seen flow much more air than the stock ones and this will just add to your problem.

There are also metal restrictors in the PCV lines that help reduce the flow and if they are missing you will also get more oil in the plenum.
