oil

i swear i already posted this like 6 hours ago, but i cant find it so here it is again. i heard that you can run up more milage between oil changes if youre using synthetic oil. is there any truth to this? i heard you can get around 7000 miles between changes if you really want to....

Yes, it is true, and for many people this is the reason why they do it, since synthetic is more expensive than regular motor oil.
Of course, we do it because is much better for our cars and we don't really care about the cost , however 7000 miles is a bit too much for my taste.
I change my oil at 5000 miles religiously.
Good luck.

I always use Castrol Syntec and I still change my oil al least every 3000 miles, if not sooner.

I have higher milage Z and I just use what is right for the season. I also use a quart of MMO in every oil change.
