How is everyone doing? I hope it's alright this is kind of a introduction thread and a question thread. I'm having an annoying problem with my Z.

I have a 96 2+2 and it just started making a very loud knocking noise the other day when I would be stopped and than go to accelerate. I just had it checked out and they said it was a bracket that is holding the drive shaft in place, but also said that the drive shaft and bracket are one piece..... Nissan says no one makes the part, and there is not even a part number for the part. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experince in this area?

Any help would be really appreciated. Maybe a junk yard that deals with just 300's that ships parts or any ideas.... Also does anyone know how hard it would be to replace that carrier barring? Or if there is a place that sells a 1 piece drive shaft, for a 2+2? Thanks again in advance.

Be sure to check for aftermarket parts or recyclers, esp when OEM is either no longer available or is too pricey for your budget. I got a new drive shaft for my '86na for 25% of what Nissan wanted for its OEM shaft. Knocked my socks off.
