My Z-ZEN build

Hello everyone I have a 1992 300zx that I decided either restore or build. I decided that restoring it would be cool, but after research I decided that the amount of money it would take to get to the power level I wanted would be a lot. And even then the motor may not hold 800-900hp. So I decided to research what foreign motor could take the most abuse and benefit the most from bolt on’s. also i did not have to go deep into the motor. My choice would be the 2jzgte engine. I figured I would have one of the best looking cars and one of the best engines of the era. My plans are loose at this point but what I know I want is complete the drive train first and get the car running. below is a list of parts. Most I have already got. I have been sourcing parts for the last 2 months

so i as stated i decided to buy majority of the parts first at least the big parts. and as for any fabricated parts, i decided to buy spare parts and have them fabricated, without using my parts of my car. this allowed me to continue to drive the car longer while i source the parts and when time to statr the build, down time for fabrication will be minimal.

now that i have the engine i need to obtain parts to make it fit. after some research i found a company in Millersville Freed Engineering. a company that has done a few of this particular build. and met with Ben Freed. a very knowlegable man when it comes to swaps. so he goes over a few pitfalls of this build that he had overcome and at the end of the meeting i had brought a k-member, custom mounts, cross member, and oilpan. including fabrication they came to almost $1300

oil pan had to be knotched

cross member, engine mount bracket, and modified k-member, and solid mounts. i read on one form where a guy brought a set of engine mounts from Freed and stated they did not fit. but the fact was that he had them on the wrong side. so i thought it was cool that the mount brackets were marked L&R
