Yeah, I just pulled that out of my throttle body. Looks like the painter left in in before I bought the car. Cons: I eventually have to take the valve covers off and make sure the heads are alright. Pros: no one could make this car pass inspection and I got it for half the book value.

I swear when I pulled this thing out it drove like a whole other car.

that's awesome. it doesn't make any sense to even put it in there if there are air filters in though. maybe to protect the air filters? you won't be able to tell anything by taking the valve covers off. this wouldn't have gotten into the oil, just the air stream. do a compression check if you are worried. if that's fine, you don't have anything else to worry about. it's a big ass job to take the covers off anyway

Lol.....................

snwbrderphat540 10-07-2008 07:43 PM

BUWAHAHAHA ROFL

on a side note, that sucks dick what an asshole. who sticks things in shit like that? just tape off the inlet if you need to protect it... and how when you stick the piping back on do you neglect to see a ****in rag in there? your looking RIGHT AT THE OPENING!!!

KasbeKZ 10-07-2008 07:54 PM

he probably put it in there then closed it up while it was being painted

ZLover4Life 10-07-2008 08:28 PM

That's seriously funny.

jverz 10-07-2008 08:39 PM

compression check... duh where's my head at. thanks for saving me alot of work. was going to put new spark plugs in anyway.

He painted the engine bay, that's why i'm ASSUMING he took off the front air ducts. Sad thing is the engine bay was painted better than the exterior.

KasbeKZ 10-07-2008 09:02 PM

oh i see. that makes kinda a little bit of sense. there are still better ways to do it

well, i use rags when i paint or wash the engine bay.. but i remember to TAKE THEM OUT.

This is why I do tool inventory.

Comorat2x2 10-08-2008 06:19 AM

I'd totally call the guy up and ask him if he wants his rag back. LOL

KasbeKZ 10-08-2008 08:36 AM

i mean that if the engine bay was being painted, it would just be better to tape off the whole air box, instead of stuffing a rag inside it and leaving the outside to get over sprayed.

Well aside from the fact that the airbox isn't in the engine bay, the rag was in the throttle body.

KasbeKZ 10-08-2008 11:51 AM

still better to tape off the throttle body.
