EDIT: I said headlights, but I meant side mirrors... my bad.

Hey guys, I went out and bought a 1990 300ZX N/A this weekend...
It was a 7 hour drive, but it was totally worth it for the price!
My previous DD was a junked out 83 280ZX... so, needless to say, this was a huge step up!

The exterior has a few dings and imperfections, but nothing I can't live with... and the inside is AMAZING! I can't believe how well the PO took care of it.

For some reason, he saw it fit to paint the side mirrors with a checkerboard pattern... I'm not sure if I like it or hate it, and all of my buddies call my car "the taxi cab". Let me know what you guys think about it!

Never did like yellow much to begin with but yeah those side mirrors have to go... Congrats on the purchase though.

 

Yeah I have a similar story:
Went to san marcos/austin area this last weekend to pick mine up except its black and came with a jdm tt engine.
Your car is definitely a head turner... not sure if its in a good or bad way though. Lol

When I posted this the thread was here, but nothing was in it. But now I see everything! Interesting mirrors, kinda goes with the yellow. Not a fan of yellow cars though lol. More pics!

 

If checkered mirrors is the only issue with the Z than I think you've got nothing to worry about.
Did you get a complete record of maintenance? Has the 120K been done? These should be the primary areas to focus on.

 

Could you elaborate on what you mean by the 120K, i would like to get more information on exactly what you mean. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd also like to see more pictures, weather you painted the rest of the car to look like the mirrors, or painted the mirrors to look like the rest of the car

 

It does have a heavy Cab Vibe
Will you be charging fares per mile or trip?, drive that in NYC I bet you get yelled at to pull over, and lots of whistles... hehe

Just kidding, really looks very nice inside,seats look cherry, great pick up and nice upgrade for your DD.
