Happy day
Happy day EMO~~~!!!
Well, after almost 6 months, I FINALLY found someone who was interested in buying my 240sx (which was initially an investment that turned into more of a hastle then I wanted) but in the end, I actually got the amount I was asking and it is ALL going to my Z (along with a bunch of money I've been saving). First things first, New fascia (decided to go w/ the GTZ-R after all that pointless debate about so many others....figured I'd stick with what is known to be good quality...lol), then getting the sideskirts mounted flush and some dents pulled, and it's straight to Earl Scheib for a new paintjob (FINALLY!).
With the money left over, I'm looking at an exhaust system, or just some other little things to make the car look nicer, and then it is down the long long road of the big bad TT swap for me (figured it is the most expensive investment I will ever make for this car, and may as well get started immediately).
I'm just happy and wanted to share my upcoming additions. My New Years resolution is to save up enough money for a clip and hopefully have a nice jump on the install fee (much rather have a shop do it correctly, plus i'm too busy with school to do it myself, and have nowhere to do it) by later this year, and HOPEFULLY, have it all working by next summer (07).....we'll see, it's been said before, but this year looks very promising, so we'll see
I will post pics after the exterior transition from old to new takes place.

Nice, Im still saving for my TT swap... planning on it being around Jan/Feb 2009... gonna have it shipped to z1 around then so it will be done when I get back from japan soon after... Are you gonna get the engine bay painted also? (when the engine is out of course)
At that time, I may do so, but for now i'm just going to go w/ a white exterior paintjob, and leave the engine bay the stock pearl white. My friends are trying to get me to paint it blue, but I hate it when the engine bay and doorjambs dont atleast somewhat match the rest of the car, so i'm sticking to white this time around. Maybe go w/ something later when the swap comes.

Hey emo, (or anyone) do you happen to have any pics of your car that show the paintjob well? Like in the sun, or close up shots? Anything that will give me an idea of what the entire car would look like w/ the white pearlescent w/ blue?
I went down to a local shop, and he estimated about $960 for all the bodywork and a white pearlescent (w/ blue) paintjob, but I am waiting to compare it to a straight white car. I know what the final paint looks like, i've seen it before, but I'm just afraid it won't look as good as I'm imagining, and Im just afraid to make a decision without seeing it first, so any pics would be totally cool (if you have some). Thanks.

sorry! I've only stopped by real quick lately. I started a new job that I'm not good at (sales)...so I've been working my butt off...I think it's useless, just dont ahve the skills. anyway, it won't let me post a pic...PM me your email...I have a pic for you...I can try to get some more pics as well in a little while...it really looks gorgeous during the day IMO. $1K is a steal. Make sure you get a flew agent put in the paint for the GTZR bumper...every Z that has a repainted bumper seems to be cracking paint.
