Thanks and in your opinion should i go this route, or go the front clip route?? |
Just buy a TT. Its cheaper lol.

TT swaps are only really recommended on great condition NA's... so unless your NA is really nice, just buy a TT.
With that said, get a front clip... buying all the little parts are going to nickel and dime you... badly. |
Don't forget
New Oil pump
New Oil Pan (it is usually crushed during shipping) EGR bypass Transmission/alternator harness Pretty much every hose/line on the engine will need to be replaced. 60k kit (timing belt and water pump) 6 new spark plugs the "long" oil lines (go from oil pan to cooler) Pressure sending unit AIC valve + assorted hose kit for it The JDM engine you get will be an automatic, are you planning to upgrade turbos while the engine is out? Front clip is the way to go. It's still a lot of work, I mean seriously, a lot of work. Everything is dirty and brittle and every piece of plastic will break or crack, every hose will snap when you take it off and all the wire harness connections will snap when you take them off. Better idea is to buy a nice TT:038: |
Thanks for all the input, i am a decent mechanic but sounds, like headaches to me, maybe i'll use the 9 thousand i'm gonna have save a little more and sell my n/a to buy a decent TT. I appreciate it y'all
