Engine Not Starting

ok so i finally finished buying my 1st dream tuner and the engine isn't starting (i knew this from i was purchasing the car).......so i wanted to know a couple of possibilities that may cause this, i think i've read before that draining the oil and the other fluids and the gas tank then putting new fluids back in should help..... keep in mind the car was just sitting in the guys driveway for about 2 years

A motor needs 3 things to start:
-proper air
-proper fuel
-proper spark

Have you checked fuel pressure & that the injectors are spraying?
Have you checked spark?

Well if he doesn't want to respond, maybe you can help me out Nismo. My '86 NA and I were cruising just fine - although it had serious troubles starting, like grinding noises - and then it simply died on me. I don't recall hearing anything break or explode or snap or whatever, it just lost power. I replaced the starter and no it cranks without grinding which is good, but it will not start! I don't have spark. Coil and ICM seem to be functioning from the 12-volt light tests I did. Thinking it's the crank angle sensor or entire distributor. Any suggestions?

86 NA put sit in the realm of Z31. This is the Z32 forum - you won't get much traffic here. Post in the Z31 forums for people familiar with Z31s.

You would search this forum for "test fuel pressure," because I've written details on how to do it at least 4 times.

You should really hone your searching skills... the thread was even titled "fuel pressure"

If the needle vibrates badly, the damper is bad. Diagnosing fuel pressure problems is that simple.
