Good idea to sell it, but you'll have better luck on 300ZXClub.com where the people don't know any better than to put that kind of garbage on their cars.

really? these intercoolers suck??? My friend is running 18psi pretty good with this one, i bought it too since he didnt have a problem. why are they garbage?
Bad flow...
Anyone w/ a tig welder can fab up an IC these days, doesn't mean it flows well. :D And why the crap can no one find the CLASSIFIEDS / FOR SALE section? I freaking made it impossible to miss!!!!! |
From what I've read, their bad mostly because they block the needed airflow to the radiator and oil cooler. Hence why Nissan used SMICs instead of a FMIC
^ Not to mention negating the natural cross-flow design of the VG30DETT, the MASSIVE increase in pressure drop (and thus increased lag) due to their length, and the fact that two large SMICs have more surface area than all but the absolute largest FMICs (which, as just stated, block airflow to the radiator, oil cooler, and most importantly for performance, THE INTAKE).
i guess im buying SMIC's now... Any recommended brands??
Pick one... they're all pretty good, compared to stock.
https://www.zdriver.com/forums/300zx-z32-tech-tips-273/intercooler-writeup-long-19694/ I like my Stillen SMICs, Ash's are great, even the ( :gasp: ) Godspeed ones on eBay are far superior to stock. |
