Today after filling up with gas I was sitting at a stop sign with a chevy Z71 in front of me. I guess he decided he was to far out in the intersection and threw his truck into reverse. I really didn't have time to react as he kept backing up right into my car. It didn't do much damage, took some paint off and spider webed almost the entire front bumper. I didn't call the police and got all his insurance info. Now im doing the run around with his insurance company. I hope that i'll be able to get a JDM front bumper out of the deal and I'm thinking about paying the extra $ to get my car repainted competly. I'v never had to deal with insurance companys before so I hope it all goes smoothly.

 

hmmm..... that blows... i hate that stuff.... hope they give you eough money for a jdm front.. prolly shoudll seein as how a factory bumper from nissan and paint im sure would cost more than buying a jdm one...

 

oh no... I hope he's not telling his insurance that you rearended him! I've heard of people doing that when they back into someone.

 

Yeah should have gotten a police report.

 

eeek... yeah didnt think of that.. without witnesses and no police report he can say you rear ended him... and that is more believalb ehtan some one backing into you....... could turn into one of those disputes where you both have to take care of your own cars. or worse.. you pay for both.

 

should of got police report or in writing that he hit your car. I mean it will be obvious who backed into who see'ing as how hopefully there is no rear end damage on your car and hopefully no front end damage on his truck.

And it's much more believable that he would back into you because of the lowness of the Z.

 

I knew the guy that he me pretty well in high school. But today I got a call from his insurance company and I'm all setup for repairs at a local body shop and I'm getting a rental . Yeah all of yesterday I was bighting my nails hoping he wasn't going to pull the "he rear ended me" bit. I don't think I will be able to get a JDM front bumper but I'm gonna try to talk the body shop into getting it because it is technically an OEM replacement .

 

do some quick research and prive compare the bumpers. If you can find a jdm front cheaper than an ameican buper show them that it will be cheeper.

 

i had the same thing happen to me in my z31. guy just threw his minivan into reverse and backed right into me. luckily, he couldnt steer for ****, and all he hit was my mirror. no damage to my z31, but it wrecked his taillight. so, since no harm was done to the z, i didnt want to bother with the police/insurance thing. i yelled at him for a bit, and he handed a wad of cash to me. not a bad situation after all .
