Z32 Short Throw Shifter Question

I installed a short throw that the guy I bought the car from gave me.

The install went smooth. The shifter sits higher than the stock one. So I'll have to find an aftermarket shift ****. After the install I took it on a test drive. First gear is a little stiff to get into. When going into second it feels and sounds like the shifter is hitting the drive shaft. Third feels perfect. Fourth feels like it grinds when shifting. Fifth is hard to find.

Does it sound like this is a wrong short throw for the Z?

Took the short throw out and put stock shifter back in. Looked at the drive shaft and it was hitting it.

Can you tell which brand(s) your shifters were? Would be helpful to know which ones not to buy!
