Hey guys first off my names Chris

I just recently bought my 91 300zx twin turbo in september. Everything was good for awhile and i noticed some orange liquid squirting out. Cleaned it up and it was ok for awhile. Now i have 2 blown turbo's

Question is the car was a automatic and he had a manual tranny put in.. Im going to work on it myself, is there a difference between turbo's? One for manual one for auto?

 

Someone just brought this up very recently actually, you should have a look around on the forum. But the short answer I think is yes.

 

They are physically interchangeable. The outside is the same. The auto has a slightly smaller a/r ratio so they spool faster at the cost of flow on the top end. Difference is very minimal.
