90 z32 timing belt marks wont align

I put the timing belt on, put the marks aligned on the cams, and tensioned it, I spun it over twice, and the marks are not re-aligning to where they are on the back plate. Is this normal or not?

Yes this is quite normal, and I don't know why someone hasn't complained about this sooner. As I have found out, and you just have, it is almost impossible to install it without some kind of game to play. The crank has to turn almost 4 ticks before the passenger side cams turn. I bought some metal clamps to lock the cams in place but they can't be at the alignment marks. If I remember, the passenger side is on the marks, the driver side is a tick or two away, and the crank is maybe 4. So as you turn the crank, the belt gets tightened and pulls the drivers side first, then tightens the passenger side before everything gets timed.

I have tried other ways where the crank is timed and I put tension on the drivers cam (I spin it backwards), then on to the next cam, and so on. I don't like this way since I have to remove the belt to skip it a tooth or two, then a cam does that "valve slap" thingie.

Anyways, don't believe the "youtubers" cuz it just doesn't work that way. Even with smaller 4 banger engines, they don't line up perfectly like the videos suggests.

Will someone comment on this? I have done 2 Z32s and about ot do another, so I need the magic that others seem to have.
