suspension upgrades - recommendations?
 

I'm planning my suspension upgrade and want some advice. From my research the following parts seem to be in order.

1. Subframe Spacers
2. Stillen 300ZX Adjustable Sway Bars - front and rear
3. CZP Rear Sway Links
4. Eibach 300ZX Pro-Kit Springs
5. KYB AGX 300ZX Adjustable Shocks
6. 300 Degree 300ZX Front Camber Compensation Kit
7. PowerTrix 300ZX Adjustable Control Arms
8. Adjustable Tension Rods
9. Rear Adjustable Camber Arms


Q1. Are the any other parts that I need to consider while I have the car taken apart?

Q2. Are all of these necessary, or can I do them in phases? (1-3? then 4-6? then 7-9?)

Q3. What are the best/better brands to consider given the list above? Please be as specific as possible for each. I am not brand loyal at this point.

Before recommending anything, you should probably start with the basic suspension mods before you start going into more complicated/trick parts. The basic shock and spring can be as simple as the stock system or as complicated as an actuated controlled coilover system.
As you begin any mod, there's one question that always remains the same. How much do you wanna spend? Is there anything that you absolutely need first? Anything that's worn/broken that needs to be addressed first? Worn shocks or springs? Bent A-arms? Leaking bushings from the tension rods? Subframe bushings worn?
Some pieces that SPL and others sell are basically racing pieces only. No benefit of having them on a street vehicle that will never see a track.
Also when changing anything in the suspension, you have to have an alignment done. So putting several pieces on at once will save you several trips to the alignment rack.

I couldn't have said it better myself. SPL is #1 when it comes to suspension.

dude thats a hell of a list you're looking into doing...my friend in his MR2 2nd gen has just the kyb agx shocks and the eibach springs, and that alone is more handling performance than i'd ever need to push...unless you're planning on serious competition, in which case, good for you...that's hot, seeing somebody who appreciates the zx for his superior handling abilities rather than its pure potential to go fast...real fast...

All I ahve in mind for suspension is

-Cusco Coil overs.
-escort Racing Subframe Spacers.
-Border Racing Strut Bars.
-Stillen Front and Rear Adjustable sway bars.
-Do lUck rear ladder bar.
-Nismo Diferential Bushings.
-SPL Frotn Fender Flare.

Further to the advice above...if you are going with adjustable arms (front and rear) and adjustable tension rods, you would not need the 300 degree camber kit.
The adjustable upgrades will give you all the adjustment you need at alignment time.

I agree with your choices for #1, #2, #4 & #5. Everything else should be purchased from SPL. You may also want to consider SPL's HICAS eliminator kit and the rear traction rods (TT) or toe arms (N/A).


Bardabe, from what I've read, the Do-luck rear ladder bar doesn;t fit very well, and doesn't really make a difference.

2nd.
From a few writeups i've seen, most ppl have actually returned it for it's lack of ease of use. In other words poor manufacturing resulted in poor fit.
