how much?
Since no one likes to frequent this part of the forum, I thought I'd start a thread. So what brand of tires does everyone prefer? What's the best deal you've gotten on tires? And last but not least, how long do they usually last you, were they a good value?
i have had kumho tires on my ride for like a year now, and theyre still holding up real nice. almost none of the tread is gone. if i cleaned it up itd look about new. theyre mounted on racing hart c3 wheels. i got the 17" package from wheelmax.com i think. im moving up to 18" 7-spoke wheels now tho. anyone heard anything as to the quality or anything of exel brand wheels??
I think 18"s look great on a Z. I've been through Cooper Cobras, BF Goodrich, Michelins, and now Kumhos. The BF Goodrich's have been my favorite so far. On the back at least, the Kumho's are currently on the front. The others wore too quickly for my tastes and wallet.
Especially the Michelins, which was a disappointment considering the price.
I don't know about the wheels though. I don't know the Exel brand.

I dont have a 300 z32 yet, but I ma working on it. I do own a 78Z and a 81ZX. I have owned a total of 58 cars and trucks in the past 20 years. I have used Perelli,s, great grip but very short life and flat prone. BFG, s have been the best of any tire, very good grip, long lfe i got over 80k on my 87 Mazda mini. I had Michilins on my 89 GTA they lasted 6 months ( very disappointed ) I put BFG,s on and got almost 2 hard years out of them. I put 150k mile on that car in those 2 years. And a lot of racing on the street. Right now I am using Les Shwab brand tires called Grang Ams, they are actually pretty good. They have decent grip it does start to give up at high speed corners ( over 85 MPH ) and rough roads. but I live in POcatello Idaho and the weather changes a lot. It is going into winter and the tires seem to be doing ther job. I hit ice and snow on the 14th in Montana. I am going to keep these tires for winter then in the spring I am going to a 16 inch setup.
