I was wondering if these wheels would look good on my 2+2 Z.

b300z 04-11-2005 05:07 PM

BigBirdsZ 04-11-2005 05:12 PM

ya man they're nyce go for it!

lightspeed 04-11-2005 05:20 PM

I really like that style...thinking about very similar ones. What make/model are they?

entropy31 04-11-2005 05:47 PM

dont really care for them. I'm all about a 5 spoke, maybe 6. and i cant stand those pretend 2 piece wheels.

Seraphic 04-11-2005 06:36 PM

those are indeed sweet, but im with entropy, 5 spoked

Z_WRECKER 04-11-2005 06:40 PM

These are the HP Evo wheels staggered fitment with a 3 inch deep lip in the rear. It's only $695.00 all four wheels w/out tires.

groundzero 04-11-2005 06:44 PM

I think they weigh about 25lbs each

ZXDude90 04-11-2005 10:25 PM

They look good. Make sure you get the right offset so they won't rub.

dr. buddha 04-11-2005 10:44 PM

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooow i like it alot lot lot lot.

bardabe 04-12-2005 03:21 PM

I got the Enkei RPM2s on my car...gunmetal in color. I love the split rim look on any car. Only wish I had i had a lip on em though. Lightspeed has seen my wheels. Racing Hart makes a few differnt kinds that arent that expensice too. I say go for it.

pearly whites 04-13-2005 03:21 PM

whats the proper offset to get to not have a rub??

The offset doesn't have alot to do with thether it'll fit or not. It's the design style of the wheel. The one write-up that I linked to before called it a "super face style" wheel. The design style, offset and width are all relatively independent of each other, but they all have to come together to fit a specific car.

DanZ32 04-14-2005 04:32 PM

groundzero. I actually purchased the HP Evo's. The offset was fine, the problem as CC states is with the design of the wheel. They fit fine in back but up front, they will not clear the calipers. Not even close enough to consider a spacer (not that you should).
I sold them and went with the AZA Z2. Very similar in style but with a bit curve in the spokes. These clear no problem and would easily clear a big brake kit as well.
Here is the link to the thread showing them on my Z.

Is this also in staggered fitment? How deep is the lip front and rear? By the way those look identical to the hp evo's...Thanks for the info man, but I hope they are not expensive. Peace.

groundzero 04-15-2005 08:13 AM

do you have any pics of the AZA Z2 on your car, if so can you post a couple. Thanks

groundzero 04-15-2005 08:50 AM

I called wheelmax to ask about the AZA Z2 wheels and I told him about my car 1992 2+2 n/a. He told me they fit and that I can fit 18/40/245 in the front, and 18/40/275 in the rear. Is this guy just bullshitting me or what? seems like thats way too big for my ride. What do you guys think? Thanks

DanZ32 04-15-2005 08:59 AM

He is telling the truth. I did not go with the staggered set up (so I could rotate all 4 wheels if I wanted to). I have 18/40/245's all the way around...no problem with fit and can still lower the car if I wanted to. Don't know about the 18/40/275's in back but it sounds fine. You could go with 18/35/275 to be safe.
The link I provided had some pics of my car with the AZAs. The lip is 2inches and looks nice.
They are not identical to the HP Evo's, close but not identical. The AZAs have 10 spokes and are a bit thinner than the HPs, which if I recall had 7 or 8 spokes.
The big difference between the two is the shape of the spokes. The AZAs have a bit more curve to them making sure they easily clear your calipers.

groundzero 04-15-2005 09:07 AM

Thanks bro...They look sweet on your car! Peace

CanyonCarver 04-15-2005 10:13 AM

18/35/275 , This size will keep your speedo closer to the correct reading...

LUKassZ 04-15-2005 11:08 AM

I have always liked that style wheel!!

Aspeedyzx 04-24-2005 06:46 PM

I like those wheels.
I would get something like that or a five split spoke design.
