Yea, I have pirelli pzeros on there right now, but they're like 250$-300$ a pop!! That's one expensive tire if you ask me! tires are kinda expensive for me being that I have 17s and 18s...they need to be a lot of rubber if you know what I mean.

Kumho's are pretty decent tires for the price. Everyday street use is their strength. Tire wear is notable as well. Lateral grip for roadcourse use is it's weak point though.
For the ultimate grip tire, the BF Goodrich G/Force T/A KD. These are regular street tires that could double for track use. Beware though, the KD designation is just what it stands for:Kode DRY. That means that they're not designed for even for wet weather.

no, by notable I meant good, worthy, decent, acceptable.
Not spectactular by any means but not horrible either. Slightly above average is what I should've said. Sorry for the confusion.

yes, Kumho

Here's a comparison from Tire Rack on the Kumho's versus a couple other brand tires. Kumho's get owned in nearly every category. They seem to do well in the wet, though.

When I had my stock wheels I had Yokohama AVS intermediates. They were ok, but as soon as they had worn about 1/2 way through, the road noise got to be too much. When I switched to the BBC RC's, I decided on the Michelin Pilot Sports. Yes, they're expensive, but I think they're worth it. Best deals are generally at the Tire Rack. The Michelin's are a huge improvement over the Yokes. I haven't heard much about Kumho. Don't go with Bridgestone's. I hear they have problem's staying balanced. I recommend the Michelin's. If you live and drive your Z in the snow, then you can try the Michelin Pilot Sport AS (all season). Very solid tire all around.

What the hell are you talking about? The deep North? Dude, grab a map. Chico and Red bluff are in the more in the flatlands of Cali. If we get more than an inch of snow in a year, then they make a big deal out of it. It just rains a lot here. I'd never buy the Pilot Sport A.S. I got my info from the Tire Rack. A.S. is for mud and snow. A.S. and standard work equally well in the rain, so make your decision based on that.
