Z32 Interior Suggestions

Hey guys, Just got word that I will be starting a new job tomorrow paying pretty well so I can finally continue work on my baby Z. It's a 1990 N/A 300ZX. Body's done all it needs is paint, I want to begin to work on the interior but I don't know where to start. I figured I get the carpet first and then re-do the ceiling but I need some ideas for a custom dash a mechanics willing to do for me for pretty cheap. Any gauge ideas? killswitch ideas? interior colors? steering wheels? seats? anything to put my Z apart from anybody else's. Thanks ahead of time guys.

If what you're after is to set it apart, I must suggest window to window shag carpeting. Pink with yellow highlights. Bottle cap covered ceiling. I can pretty much guarantee it'll be the only one of its kind.

What I really suggest though is to look around, just browse. Find stuff that you think looks nice. Everyone's different, so even if you have two people who gave their cars full black interiors, they'll be different in some way.

What color are you planning on painting the exterior... I don't know about anyone else but the exterior paint would make a difference on what I would do with the interior.

Before I bought my Z I was looking at getting one for as cheap as possible and painting it Windveil Blue. I could not bring myself to do a black interior with that as the exterior color, not saying you couldn't but like already mentioned, different people have different tastes. Tan or Beige would have been my choice.

Whatever you do, don't do red... looks horrible IMO.

hey i was thinking satin black wirh one red double pinstripe down both sides then with flat black 18s no bigger (lose handeling capabilities) then an all black interior with red stitching (burnt orange or a similar color woiuld work as well )

You could always try your local craigslist/kijiji for seats.
