just wondering about the interchangeability of third brake lights and spoilers and such. i want that black strip instead of the spoiler, and i found two people to sell them to me, but i'm not sure if it looks like it will fit back there. are all the hatches the same right there?

ha ha just kidding i think they do but i may be wrong which spolier do you have? and how is it secured to the car. is it mounted to the top of the hatch and extend down below where the light would normally be? or does it take place of and mount where th light would be?

 

it mounts where the light would be i think. i'm not sure how it's attached. i haven't had it off yet. it pretty much hooks to the back of the hatch.

 

pics? I'm told the 2 + 2 hatches are different.

wow no camera flash? i believe if you remove that spoiler, you have to get the WHOLE third brake light assembly, which is costly. why do you want to get rid of the spoiler? and you can probably find a hatch with no spoiler for just as cheap as buying the third brake list black strip.

 

i found a good condition third brake light for $130 shipped. the picture was taken on my cell phone, and it makes stuff look crappy with the flash. i like the look of the clean hatch rather than that spoiler. the spoiler kinda ruins the car for me. the smaller ones don't bother me as much, like the ones on most turbos, but i'd still prefer the clean rear hatch. i don't do much driving above 80 anyway, so i don't need any down force, if these stock spoilers even give that.
