Hey folks, this is kind of a redundant thread but I wanted to make sure it got a little attention because you all have never steered me wrong and I value your opinions. Been trying to find a junker seat to swap out the bent seat back on my drivers seat, was thinking about just replacing the damn thing all together and found this listing on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem

Couple of decent looking black leather seats, I see a little rust on teh lower rails but it doesn't appear to be too bad. I'd lose the convenience of power adjusting but I'd lose the "gangster lean"...an over all win in my book.

Opinions?

No, they're clear on the east coast but 125 bucks shipping isn't too bad. Helluva lot cheaper than brand new seats. Got a few days to see if anything better comes up. The pick a parts out here have zilch in the way of 300ZX's parts.

No worries. I've been playing the eBay game for a while. Visa + paypal protection = superglue panties on a virgin. Ie: Unscrewable.

They do look like vinyl but I can deal with that. I've got a shop out here that can swap the fabric out in an afternoon for next to nothing. The black won't look bad with the tan interrior, at least there are things that would look alot worse.

Anything that'll fit in a 93 N/A 2+2 and look decent with stock tan interior is basically my standard right now. Got an upholstery shop that says they can install whatever I bring them so toss a pic up here and let's see em

Sorry to burst your "unscrewable" bubble, but you can still get screwed w/ Paypal protection. Example: I sent $$$ to a seller... never got the item... filed complaint on Paypal... seller okay'd refund then removed all $$$ from his account... transaction looked like it was reversed, no $$$ transferred. Paypal can't take funds from bank accounts w/o permission... I got screwed.

I'm just sayin...

Call Visa, dispute charges, amount gets reveresed and the jackass gets a collection notice from Visa. Paypal protection is decent but I prefer the safety net of Visa's buyer protection program.

I don't keep any amount of money in my paypal account so even though I pay via paypal the funds come from my checking account, through my debit card.

Stop being naive. You can still be screwed using monies from your bank account with your debit card. I assume that you've really never gone through an catual fraudulent transaction, even with Visa's assurances - it's not as easy as you make it sound.

Done it 2 or 3 times now actually. All I've done is call Visa, tell them what happened, they have me write a letter explaining everything and in a few days I have my money back. *shrug*

The other seat I bought seat showed up last night, total junker but the seat back is straight so a couple hours swapping out seat back assemblys and I should be good to go. Best part is the Nissan dealership oes me for 2 hours labor so I don't even have to do that myself. Woot!
