The aiming kit in the car is not complete. Other parts, that the dealership is supposed to have, are required.
Why they put any of the kit in the car is beyond me

If you find some level ground with a blank wall, and park facing the wall with about 25 feet, between the wall, and the front of the car, they are pretty easy to aim.

It should through a beam pattern that looks like these >

Halogen Left, HID Right:

Now I just hope the glare doesn't encite too much road rage, and that Cali cops don't feel like filling their ticket quota.
Just be sure they are aimed properly (not pointing too high), and you'll have no problems.

I have followed police cars, driven past police cars on the side of the road, faced police cars at intersections, all at night with the lights on, and not had any problems.

z32 shouldnt have problems with cops. the stock projectors focus the light properly. what the cops have a problem with is the people who put HIDs in non-projector headlights, which just lets the light spread out and glare.

You don't need the headlight aiming junk in the trunk to aim the headlights.

I aimed my lights without it.

Your headlights are probably aimed to high.
