man ive been looking everywhere.

can someone please help me figure out what this damn plastic piece is called right above the tail lights?

its NOT the 3rd brake light, its some sort of reflector?

Would be nice if you circled the part you want to know about in paintshop or something.
All I can think of, and it would be the third break light, on a TT. The n/as had the strip on the lid.

But yeah its like a reddish strip across the back of the car that says nissan

here i got the hang of it. I need this thing. And ill try to call nissan today but if theres ANYONE out there who can tell me what this thing is, id love you eternally.

Mines cracked, some asshole hit it and it looks terrible. Need replacement asap. :disgust:

It is the high mount lamp assembly $200 part. Be very very careful when installing this piece or removing it after install. You need to have almost two people if you don't want to break it. It is very flimsy.

I am new to the forum as I just picked up my Z32 TT and I have exactly the same spoiler as yours and looks like that circled piece is part of the spoiler and mine is actually painted black instead of a glassy plastic. The previous owner told me this is a JDM rear wing?

There are 2 types of TT Spoilers/Wings. On the early TTs, there is a spoiler that covers the end of the hatch, which is what's shown in your picture, and those just have a black sticker that goes on the spoiler. Later years 94+ have a deck mounted wing, and the part is the same as on the NA cars, the Third Brake Light. Note, some cars have an aftermarket spoiler that looks similar to the early OEM spoiler, but it doesn't cover the end of the hatch and a Third Brake Light is needed in those applications as well.
