lil help for my dumass?
I finally bought the z32 i've always wanted. At least the one that would fit my budget.
'94 N/A 2 seater. Anyway, ugly scratches on the passenger side t-top are killing me. My Z is the hunter green stock paint. Any help on how to reduce the appearance of these scratches would be appreciated.

Generally the touch-up paint, or any paint that is of the original color, will never match the current color of your car due to fading of the original paint. If they're deep scratches thru to the metal, you need to do something, like touch-up to stop the rust that will eventually spread under the original paint. If the scratches aren't thru to the metal, you can try paint polishing compound our some of that colored polishing compound that actually helps fill in the scratches.
At a minimum, get something over any bare metal. Use the touch-up paint if you like. If it looks good to you, leave it that way. If it doesn't. at least it's protected until you can get a paint job.
Paint and bodywork is kind of an art. I just read a coupla books and asked some question on how to do it, then learned thru trial and error. imho, I didn't do too bad of a job.....
