Re: Jspec Front End
StrictlyZ.com has been the only place i've seen them at all...click on the banner on the top of the page there..the J-sepc front end is pricy at $865 shipped, but quite unique and very modern looking...definitely one of the first things id look at when i find a Z...

Re: Jspec Front End
Just to let anyone who was looking for the J-spec front end know...they're on sale at strictlyz.com for $750 shipped. If you didnt notice the banner on the top of the page stating so, attention, i am telling you now = )
Very few quantities left supposedly, and $750 is a great deal for those of us who want to round out their Z32 into a Fairlady J-spec type..

Re: Jspec Front End
Hey,
I am just curious...I don't understand why anybody would buy a Jspec front end for that price when you could get a veilside one that is extremely nice for 630 and weighs like a tenth of the the jspec front end. Not to mention it is cheaper to repair??
just a thought...

i have been told that if you are going fast enough with a urethane bumper it will bend in the wind. The jspec looks nice, no doubt there, but that is a steap price for a cheaper quality than veilsides bumper that is not as expensive.

Re: Jspec Front End
I know the Fiberglass is easier to fix but its also a lot easier to break than urethane. There really isn't much give to the glass it simply breaks.
I still think the urethane GTR-Z from Stillen is the best price right now. $549. (and I think it looks the best but everyone has their own opinion with that)
My 2 cents

Re: Jspec Front End
Fiberglass bodykits/bumpers = Showcars mostly..
This stuff cracks WAY too easily. for a daily driver, i've read and seen that this stuff is not reccomended as the slightest bumps, or whacks can crack this stuff. There's a reason why its cheaper ( i think)...
Urethane is sort of common...i know on my eclipse, the bottom middle of the bumper is re-inforced (as i've scraped and ran curbs MANY times)....yet on the upper left and right sides of the front bumper, it flexes in and out with even my whole weight, or me kicking it in...good if you happen to get whacked slightly from that side..
Urethane is good stuff, fo' sho' ..
And yes, the stillen GTZ-R front end is so cool. i'd have a hard time choosing between that or the Jspec....i actually think they look similar, apart from the grill areas..
