Fog lights
Fog lights
Question for everyone....
I just put clear corner signal lights on my car. Now, the fog lights look kina out of place. Anybody have any suggestions on what fog lights I could put in to match?

I've seen clear lense fogs on ebay. Can't speak to the quality of them however.
You could take the glare gaurd out of you stock fog lights. It makes a huge difference in amount of light thrown when on and the look visibly clearer when not on.

Thanks guys, but....
Ok....i guess I am what you call mechanically retarded. I can't figure out how to get the fog lights out of their housing. I tried getting under the car, but even then couldn't see the lights. Do I need to remove the nose or is there an easier way?
Thanks for the help...
Thanks for the help...
There is probably a couple different ways. The way that I found easiest was to remove the front signal light housing (disconnect it and get it right of the way.
You should then see the fog light back fairly easily.
Disconnect the wiring.
There will be 3 nuts (1 near the top on either side and 1 on the bottom)
Once you remove the 3 nuts, you should be able to slide the fog light housing out the front openings.
It becomes obvious how to take the fog light apart once you have it out.
Once you get it apart, the glare guard is the black (lead like thing that partially covers the bulb). I used a small flat head screw driver to pry it at the base, then used needle nose pliers to pull it off.
Put it back together by doing the reverse.
Try not to touch the bulb (I have heard it affect longevity). If the silver reflector is dirty, it will be a good opportunity to clean that up.
If you are considering changing the bulb, you will have to change the bulb wiring connector (you'll see what I mean when if you buy replacement bulbs).
Hope this helps. This approach took me 1/2 hour in total.
