Body Kit Help
Alright, i'm right in the middle of putting this bomex style kit on and have got the fascia on, and the sidskirts on, but looking at the rear bumper, I cant figure out how the upper part bolts to the car. I got under it and was feeling around and couldnt feel anything. I noticed the metal bumper brace that the lower portion bolts to, and was wondering if the top was bolted to it as well. I'd normally just start to rip the bitch off any way I could, but this isn't one of my hondas and I don't want to do that to this car, I'd like some idea first. (The rear is a replacment so if it comes to ripping, I can and will do that if I must)
Does anyone know how to get the rear bumper off? Or does anyone know how to unbolt that metal bumper brace? |
Heres what you do, you take off the bomex parts youve installed and replace them with the original nissan parts, problem solved.
|
then burn the bomex so nobody else gets their hands on it.

Hey thanks, just spent a bunch of money on it, id appreciate help instead of stupid humor from imbeciles. If I wanted to get a stupid response like that I would have posted on a Honda site. Let me help you understand; If you don’t know about the subject or cant think of anything else to say but something useless and stupid, then save it.
So does anyone without mindless responses really know? BTW, you want to see why I didn't keep the stock pieces, why dont you check out the beautiful green spraypaint that was put on this car when it was stolen, then maybe you'll have some sort of understanding why i'd put a kit on instead of trying to fix it and having to spend even more money with getting stock pieces. Theres pics Here |
But yea thanks, f'n tard. Maybe instead of resurrecting this back into a DECENT Z, I shoulda just stole yours. Yea?

Post on twinturbo.net. I hate when people put body kits on a Z, sorry if I came off as a jerk because I usually am to people who ruin Z's. I can see why your installing this kit on the Z, so if you really want help post on either 300ZXclub or twinturbo.net . there are many more Z32 enthusiests there.
|
Thanks for understanding my frustration, i'll try there too.

the front and sides are the same as the bomex kit but the rear is the full replacment instead of just the wrap around piece that bomex really sells, so they only have diagrams for the front and sides and nothing for the rear. Oh well
There are a lot of nissan service manuals at www.carfiche.com and I highly recommend taking a minute to check out the list |

Y BOMEX? That's my only '?'
|
^
^^ ^^^ Yeah, thats what I was wondering. I can understand why you would want to put a bodykit on considering the damage to the factory pieces, however, the bomex kit is, imho, one of the worst looking ones out there. |

Who died and made you moderator? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA nevermind |
i went with the bomex kit cause it was in my price range, and with the condition my cars in, ANY kit would have been a step up. I dont personally like the fascia, but the sides and rear arent too bad, i'm thinking of upgrading the fascia to a WW style or maybe a Stillen GTZ-R

Alright, to satisify you guys that were wondering "why a bomex". Well i've now only got the sideskirts and rear bumper in tact, i've only had the kit on two weeks and someone backed into the fascia, or intentionally broke it somehow and the entire passenger side is split from the ground up. I'm pretty sure someone backed into it cause my turnsignal housing is all broken out too. I can either spend the time to repair it and keep it, or get that GTZ-R like I was saying, repair this one and sell it off.
Sounds like a plan eh? |
i like the bomex kit. the type 2 is what i was gonna get. now i have the jdm front. im thinking of the bomex sides and rear still. or the ww sides and the bomex rear.
