yeah but there are only so many of them, and i know these roads around here better than any cop. i got away a coupls of times..boy was that a rush i ran a stop sign twice in two days, same spot, same cop. i just stepped on it, pulled into the same parking garage and got out, jumped over the wall and went into the same bar. both times i parked in between 2 SUVs and the cop just drove by.+ i have a police scanner i hear all kinds of stuff.

what can i say...it was a weekend night friday and saturday, cop was about 60 yards behind me coming from a turn. i just stepped on it as hard as i could and i was in that parking lot before he was at the stop light. there is a shortcut to the bar, and i was there for like an hour or so. i agree with you if they wanted to catch me they could, but i don't think he wanted it bad enough. i did get pulled over about a week later and he asked was it my car that he saw, and i was like no... i was realy really lucky. if it was in any other part of the city i wouldn't have been able to do this. it was a busy parking lot. i did stupid things when i first got my Z. like for exapmle through the downtown there is a street crossing it, so you can drive through downtown mall. i stopped at the light, flashed my lights and people got out of the way, and i did a burnout, but on the other side of the street were cops that i didn't see. i was 17 at a time and this was the same day i got my Z. they pulled me over, and i told them that my gas pedal got stuck, and that i was trying to break. they called my parents and told them i could have hurt someone. they let me off with a warning, and i am not allowed to cross the mall again. i was young and stupid, now i am a little bit older and still stupid. some things never change

 

and i know a lot of people who have out ran the cops. i was with my friend in his Z when we did it.

 

ahhhh...don't we all need "learning experiences" as far as driving goes...I had to run into a bank to get mine.

yea, this new format isn't my favorite at all! but anyway...yes, my first car was a civic. It was actually a clean civic and it came with vtec heads and stuff. I hated that car and drove the snot outta it, but it was decently fast for my first car I guess, I wanted a GSX, but my parents bought me this car...I had a hard time complaining since I didn't pay for it. Anyway, my buddy had a family friend's 67 mustang GT...totally cherry for prom. We pulled up next to a stop light toghether and he punched it (couldn't believe he did this) so I did too. There was this curve coming up so I started to brake, well, they locked up and into the bank I went. It had a cement wall right there b/c it's a spot where a lot of people crash I guess due to the curve and the visual trick it presumes. BY the way, I beat that mustang by like 5 car lengths...it wasn't all that fast. It had a 289 in it...not too impressive.

 

Man i wanna a GSX too. my first car was a 1990 300zxn/a pearl black, professionally done upholstery, stock chrome rims, and under 60k on the odometer, i wrecked it

 

it's a good thing that you did wreck it. now you have a Z. Who knows if you didn't wreck it you would be on a civic forum talking about all the newest stickers that came out

 

naw, I would of gotten rid of that thing as soon as I can. I wouldn
t of gone through the effort of getting on a forum with that car. I didn't have enough interest in it. And I kept it fairly clean. I had custom exhaust, intake, headers and some other stuff...nothing too big, just something to get that thing moving a little at least. It was so stinkin slow compared to my Z. But it actually beat a lot of the other ricers on the street suprisingly.

 

a lot of other ricers besides have nothing besides a coffee can and an intake... your civic does sound clean. did you put the parts on it?

 

yep...it came with vtec heads...not from the guy I bought it from though. My mom worked with the guy they bought it from (that's why they wanted to buy it) and I couldn't deal with how slow it was, so I decided to try to pep it up a bit. So I first got the custom exhaust...all of it in 2 1/4 in piping. Then intake, then headers. Then I had some other small stuff like wires and other stuff like that. It was alright.
