What kind of factory turbo came with the 86 300zx?
 

Looking to find out what brand of turbo is in my 86 300zx. I'm needing to rebuild it and want to purchase the correct rebuild kit. The turbo that I currently have is the one original to the car from the factory. Manufacture date on door reads 9/85

All I can find is that it tells me it's a t3 but does not give a brand

Under 'Engines' it says 'Garrett' turbo. :D That could be the place to start looking for your repair/rebuild/replace info. :icon_super: Lots of options in that department! :icon_eyes:
