All I want to know is if the vg30de out of a 90-96 300zx will bolt up to the stock transmission in a 1988 Non turbo. I searched and only found one topic, didn't help very much. Thanks in advance.

I know you can put a de tranny on a vg30e block. So i guess if you wanna use a na tranny for a vg30e it could work. So yes az-bum i am wrong in saying no it wont work. With enough time and money it will work. But what flywheel/clutch size and starter will be needed to get working i dont know. So thanks for correcting me. Just easier to say no because i dont see a point using a less superior transmission then what was given to it stock.

Simplest solution would be to use the Z31 flywheel and clutch stuff. This would make everything work better in the Z31. But I don't see him buying a DE anyway, let alone getting around to installing it. :P
