Custom!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember to add an external wastegate to your manifold with that turbo. Or you won't have any boost control what so ever!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if you use the second one down, you can use the stock wastegate and O2 pipe. But it sounds as if you already have the first turbo in hand already.

i might use the certified muffler 3" downpipe and 3"turbo back exhaust sytem as well, so i think what im going to have to do make a piece to fit the turbo and weld it to the downpipe and also make a hole for the o2 sensor. where do you think would be a good place to put the external waste-gate? im going to use an HKS universal standard waste-gate. also, the emergency POV on the intake plenum, can i take that out and plug it up since im going to use an HKS SSQV blow off valve or does it have to stay there for its purpose?

I can honestly say that I am not running a POV in my intake. And I'm running 11-12 psi of boost that way. But I've also read that some people are modifying it so that it holds a higher pressure. That way you still have some "emergency" boost equipment in the motor.

The POV is there to prevent overpressuring the intake. It is there for the just in case that your boost goes over the factory's limit. The BOV is to reduce the pressure wave that is created by the closing throttle valve. Each has it's own seperate use.

Basically the wastegate can go anywhere in the exhaust manifold, before the turbo. The "Best" place is to locate it where both sides of the motor supply exhaust. But since that's right before the turbo's inlet, it might pose an installation issue. But if it fits, then go in that area. If not, you might have to get creative.

ok cool. thanks for the help. i dont have the turbo or the turbo car yet, im in the process of all that though. right now all i have is an 87 N/A 2+2 which im either going to keep for some of the parts or im just going to sell it when i get the turbo model. i really want an 88 turbo 2 seater w/black interior and 5 speed. ive about 6-10 months to look so im not really worried about it right now. i guess you could say im in the brainstorming process of what i will do once i have an 88 turbo. come check out my 87 at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2292875 let me know what you think. and once i get my 88 turbo i could probably use some help/info on getting things done to it. so if you want my email is one_fast_300zx@hotmail.com.
thanks again.
