I have an 86 non turbo. The second gear snychro is bad and I am replacing it. The transmission is not original and I don't know what year it is. There are at least two different 1st-2nd synchros (depends on manufacturer date)for the non-turbo transmissions. Is there a way to determine which synchro to order with out knowing the date of manufacturer? Are there any numbers or codes on the transmission itself that will provide the date of manufacture? thanks
