Good afternoon all,
My baby is sick and I need some advice, fuel pump pumps, injectors inject, just shuts down after 30 seconds. It will accelerate, build oil pressure, I replaced the fuel filter. The gas smells bad, but the engine doesnt smoke when it runs. Do you think it could be bad gas, oil pressure switch, MAS,? The FPR works fine. I am stumped. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Probably a bad ECU, but I'm just guessing.

Could be an electrical short... your alternator, fusible links... I would lean more towards a computer related problem... so if you can do it, get your car to a shop and have the ECU diagnosed. Maybe that will help you...

when ur fuel pump pumps, how hard does it spray?? if u undo a hose off the front filter under the hood and if it doesn't spray a good 2 or 3 foot in the air ur pump may be bad or u may have ur fuel line stopped up??? i had a 280 that did the same thing.. may not be. just a suggestion. o and don't be under the hood when somebody turns the fuel on.

I ran an extra ground wire to the fuel pump and got r done, apparently a relay is not closing when it is supposed to. (the car has been stored in a barn for 7 years, if that car was me, my relays would stick too) thanks for the help fellas,
