Questions on TPS (or TVS)
So I'm not much of a mechanic, knowing next to nothing about engines, and my Haynes manual is really all the resource I have right now. Hopefully someone can give me their opinions on this. I have an 84 z31 auto w/turbo, and honestly my problem is very ironic. When it first starts in the morning, it will actually idle, accelerate, and overall sound great, and when it's been warmed up and I try to start it, it will sputter, hesitate, and die randomly on the go... I looked in the manual and read that there is 2 separate connectors for the throttle valve switch for automatics (I assume its the same thing as a tps.) I noticed that the connector with the multicolored wires only has the bottom 2 wires and 3 terminals...and the white connector on the side which I was told was strictly for the transmission was disconnected, with no receptor in site. It looked a little corroded on the connector end but the sensor itself looks fine. The maf is brand new also so I know it's not that. Anyone have any ideas?
