Oil feed for turbo leaking at banjo bolt
 

Hey guys I just motor swapped my z31 since the old motor was blown. We used two crush washers for the banjo bolt for the oil feed for the turbo but it seems to leak for what ever reason. Its leaking on the crush washer that is in contact with the block. Any input is helpful, thanks!

I suppose there are a couple of reasons for a leak.

• Did you use new washers or reuse.
• Was either surface damaged? Even a small radial scratch can drive a leak
• Foreign material on either surface.
• Sometimes a strain on the connection could cause a leak. Did the banjo fit up easily with no effort or did it have to be forced on. Is there anything external putting stress on the connection.

You could try increasing the torque by 25% or so, but best to take it apart clean, inspect and go back with new washers again.

Thank you for your response I was finally able to get it out it was just really tight space. Turns out the company that I bought the banjo bolt from gave me 2 different sized crush washers :/. So I found the old banjo bolt and used one of those. Cranked it and it no longer leaks. Thanks for the help!
