I was just thinking, since my 87' Z isn't a manual and I really would like it to, cause manual's are fun. I was wondering if possible how would I go about changing from an automatic to a manual, and is it even worth the trouble and about how much would it cost.

 

It will cost you, in parts, the cost of a donor, manual transmission, car. Make your best deal with a boneyard. If you buy the parts from the boneyard for a project this big, you'll spend a ton of $$$. They add their labor to parts they have to remove. Buy the complete car, take what you need, and then part out the remainder on ebay (or keep the stuff for your own use). Some guys keep two or three parts cars laying around so they'll have a ready supply of parts to keep the primary ride alive.

You might pull this off for $500 (+ or -) if you're a good week-end warrior mechanic, and you get the parts car a decent price.
