Welcome to ZDriver! Yank the turbocharger, take it to a local turbo shop, and have them upgrade it to a T3/T4 Hybrid. Should cost about $400 with a nice warranty. Feel free to use the SEARCH about this topic, as it has been asked before.

BTW... if the car is all stock, it doesn't have a blow off valve, just a pop off valve.

I suggest buying a Haynes Manual for the car. It will tell you most everything basic that you need to know about the 1st gen 300zx. They run about $14 at your local parts store. Also check out AZ-Zbum's website: http://www.az-zbum.com/ That is a site dedicated to the Z31... trouble shooting, problems, basic repairs.

Also...

My post from another recent thread about the 300ZX Z31: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/300zx-z31-performance-technical-227/engine-swap-20726/

so we put it all together... VG30E = 3.0L V6 (with no D) Single Overhead Cam, EFI

VG30ET = Turbo engine.
