inline or in-tank fuel pump?

wouldn't be eaiser to do a inline pump vs. in-tank pump job ... seems like nobody mentions inline pump is their a reason

I dunno about the others, but I plan on making a surge tank and running an inline 255lph fuel pump, when the it's needed. But for the simplicity of the fuel system, it would be much easier to just use a replacement high flow pump for the tank.

but wouldn't an inline pump be super easy
1. de-pressurize fuel system
2. cut fuel hose, insert inline pump connect to front and back hose nipple
3. wire it up for power ... done!

zex sells a complete kit with 300psi hose, connectors, wires, pump, clamps ect.. for $191 ... good for 650hp it claims

Considering it's not hard to drop the fuel tank, and it's not exactly something you do often at all then there's no real need IMO...
