High beams
Help me, I have a problem with my lights, when I flip on the highbeams, the right lamp goes out completely, with the left working highbeam. I replaced the 3 prong plug, still no success .

It's a problem in your dimmer switch more than likely. Just do what I did and run a wire from the left side to the right so both come on no matter what. Might not be the right way to do it but it works.

where is the dimmer switch ? is it on the headlamp itself ?
is that under the hood or the dash ?
it's most likely a problem with the headlight switch itself. the dimmer switch controls the brightness of the dash lights. has nothing to do with the main headlights.
how would I repair something like that, the switch actually works the left lamp for the highbeams, why not the right, is it easy to remove the headlight switch on an 85 300zx ?
if you took 30 seconds to look at the switch, you'd understand why you're asking a stupid question.

LOL.... check your headlight relays, infront of the passenger side strut tower, behind the passenger side headlight.

When I said dimmer switch I meant the headlight dimmer switch, duh.
headlights don't have a dimmer switch. they have high and low beams.
