Heads

This may be a simple question but, can I put heads from an 85 vg30et onto an 84 vg30e? Obviously they will bolt on but are the valve lengths the same and everything? From what I have read everything will work just fine, but I am just not positive.

If I remember right, the only thing that was changed was the pistons. You might check on the cams...

Heads from 84 to Early 87 are the same. From late 87 to 89 are the same

What you got will work fine.

I was assuming the were different because I know the vg30et has lower compression (shorter pistons). I was not sure if the valves in the vg30et heads were longer, I didn't want to put turbo heads on my non turbo engine and have the valves hit the pistons. But I thank everyone for their input, and information.

it doesnt have shorter pistons, it has dished pistons, which lower the compression.
