Finally

So id like to say my problem is solved. My jerky Acceleration. The Throttle positioning switch is bad, i just disconected it. What role does that Play on a n/a 5 speed? I heard it was just for Auto trannys?

TPS (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) sends a signal to the ECU... doesn't matter what trans you have.

Would it hurt to have it disconnected?

Why not just adjust it properly?

BTW: It's a SWITCH on the 5 speeds.

i just had to disconnect this wire from it is all. It was this little black box on the side of the Throttle body held on by 2 screws. It seems that that male connectors are corroding

if you read the instructions for how to adjust it in the fsm, it might give you a clue.

I have the hanes, is that good enough? The car runs really rough, until I pull the wire off of the TP switch. I tried adjusting it as per Hanes. But with no success, I switch the sensor itself, still got issues. How would I go about cleaning the throttle body? Becasue I kno that once you disconect the sensor, the ecu runs a program for fuel vs what the engine is telling it.

I am sorry for biggy backing, but this might help you too if it gets answered.
