Exhaust for 1986 NA?

Just doing my research/budgeting.

1st off, the Catalytic Converter has a bunch of holes punched in it, and I don't need to do emissions testing because the car is 25+ years old.

So, when I see everything saying Cat Back, I think, but I can get rid of the Cat, too, right?

Any options? Is there a "blank Cat" to fill the space where the Cat should go? A system that starts with the exhaust manifold and goes straight out, with a minimal silencer?

Looking at the Green Air Filter and probably $150 for Cat Back to begin, would be interested in something in the range of $500 for Exhaust Manifold and back complete exhaust system if it exists, which I'd put off for a while longer and do the whole thing rather that just get a Cat Back sooner which I'd swap out for a full system later...

And if it's good enough for the VG30ET with intercooler, etc., up to 250hp-300hp, even better.

"blank cats" are sold as "test pipes".
