engine swap or rebuild?
alright so i bought an 86 non-turbo, and it has 252xxx miles on it. aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thats alot. and N/A is boring. now my question is, what is the cheapest option out of these two: swap in a turbo engine, or have the engine rebuilt and buy a turbo kit. ive never done anything of this magnitude so im probably going to let somebody qualified do it, but i would be acquiring the parts myself. suggestions?

if u want a turbo kit i have the turbo manifold with t3 oil and water cooled, turbo oil pan, turbo injectors and fuel rail, the turbo pipes, turbo maf and ecu. all these came off a 87 w series z31. to pretty much get you up and going after a rebuild on the engine. trying to sell these all in one so if you want tell me.

yeah that would be nice but i wont have the funds for a couple of months. thanks though.

this has been discussed to death. try a search please.
in a nutshell though, the best and cheapest way to turbo your z31 is to sell it and buy a turbo car. period. anyone who tells you different has their head up their ass. next would be to swap in a turbo motor. there isn't a "turbo kit" for this car. you can try and convert the NA motor to turbo, but it's a pain in the ass and not worth the effort, as you'll only be able to run about 6psi without blowing it up. |
shut the dick up about the damn search button. no one even comes here you lazy asshat, you have nothing better to do then tell everyone "use the search button". pull your pussy out of the bread machine. im done with these forums, ill stick to the ones that are actually knowledgeable and helpful. **** you.

hmmm..... i answered your question and suggested you search for more info on why i answered the way i did. yup, i'm a huge asshole.

i still love you entropy

wow dude. that was just amazing.

E, i have seen 12psi on a converted vg30 before the motor went lean and blew itself apart. also finding a usable turbo z31 is actually getting pretty hard.
