Engine no start
 

Ever since I have acquired this car, it has had some sort of issue to where sometimes it will run for an hour or two, or other times im lucky to get 10 minutes out of it. Point being that it would always start. Sometimes i would have to let it sit for a hour or two, but after pulling the ECCS out of the passenger kickboard, and running it through the diagnostic mode, the car has not started since. I know the fuel pressure is good. Now when I ran the codes, the CAS was said to be bad. But I find it more then coincidental that once I removed the box and reinstalled it, that the car does not run??? Anythoughts are appreciate it. So would my 86 NA auto 300ZX.

An engine needs 3 things to start:
-Proper fuel delivery
-Proper spark delivery
-Proper compression

So, have you checked for spark at all 6 plugs? Verified firing order and timing are correct?
Have you verified that the injectors are spraying?
Done a compression test?

this is why the FI section takes up half the FSM
a break out box makes it easyer to get live data ,thats what a dealer has .
if your cam angle sensor is not working that can do it
the gas is fresh enough ?, not flooding ? very easy to flood a efi with irridium plugs , best to pull and check compr. and for wet plugs spark
didn't smash a pin putting it back together ? on the ECU
fun , fun ....techs used to run and hide when this type of problem came in
