Electrical problem! (Please Help)

Okay I first started of with a bad Alternator so I replaced that, the battery (it was old) and the terminals on the battery because they were corroded. I drove the car for a little while, and at which time I noticed that if I were to bring the care above 1800 RPM's all of my dash lights would come on as if the car were put accessory mode. I thought nothing of it until I realized that my car was once again dying. I pulled the car over, and proceeded to re-pull the Alternator, bring it to Autozone and get it checked and they said it was good. I put the alternator back in and the problem is still there. I also changed the belt for the Alternator, and it is tight, the fan pulley, (water pump pulley) and the Alternator pulley are both spinning fine with no squeaks or noises. I have no idea what to do. I am in the Army and don't have any real access to people I know back home to help me. I checked all the fuses as well and the only one that was bad was the radio which is good because my radio works now but the car still dies. I also took the negative terminal off of the battery while the car was at idle, which it works fine at idle, but with the negative connected I rev it above 1800 RPM's all the dash lights come on for about one second and bam, the car dies again. Is there an external voltage regulator on these cars? Or is it in the Alternator? Oh and BTW, my car as A Naturally Aspirated 5spd 1985 300ZX, 2 seater. Please if someone knows what is going on with my car I could really use it, I need this car because it's my freedom from living in the Barracks. HELP!
did you say you changed the battery? it should run no prob either way since its a manual, self sustained system and crap...but on my old auto camry i had the battery was soo far gone that even with a good alternator it would die...but you can start your car off your battery currently i assume huh? so this might not be the prob.....
check your ground cable all the way to the starter. I believe there was a ground wire to the firewall originally (so I was told when someone told me why there was a hole in the firewall there). I ran two pieces of #10 cable to screws at either side of the engine compartment on the advice of a friend who is very z knowledgeable. Bad grounds can cause lots of weird electrical problems and are sometimes hard to locate. I also have a 85 but a turbo. It appears you did change the battery so that shouldn't be an issue. You should also put a voltmeter across the battery and see what the voltage is doing when revving. Internally regulated voltage.
