Difference between turbo and NA RADIATORS!!!!
I recently found out I have to replace my radiator because I had it tested for leaks, and the guy (I trust him, he's a friend of the family) said it was leaking like crazy AND the inside was all clogged.
I found out there IS indeed a difference between Z31 turbo and Z31 NA radiators, but I haven't been able to find out what that is. Anyone know the difference between these radiators? Anyone know if I can tell the difference just by looking at the radiator? I'm from San Francisco and I'm going to visit a friend in Portland and there happens to be a guy in Grant's Pass (south of Portland) selling one and I thought I'd pick it up, but I want to be sure I'm getting the right product. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot guys. |
The diff. is the turbo is a dual core and the na is single.i ordered a turbo rad for my N/a and it fits fine now im running extra cool.my needle doesnt reach the middle and thats with the ac on in stop and go traffic for 2 hours.

How about going uphill, does it ever start overheating then? Because that's when my car overheats the most; I was driving to LA and I had to pull over and wait for a good half hour for it to cool down before I could start driving again (and have it overheat right when I got to the top of the hill).

What happens if I use an NA radiator on a turbo car? Turns out the radiator is an NA one, but the guy gave me a discount. I'm not sure whether to just use the one he gave me or go back and yell at him.
