The Box Said Painless...

Painless Wiring... I'm not so sure about that.

My efforts to redesign my z31 into the automobile I want it to be required a complete wiring harness. I suppose I could have made the OEM wiring work, but, it was getting old, brittle, and, some corrosion had established itself. Out with the old, in with the new. Another benefit to installing new wires is while doing the install, I can put the wires where I want them.

This is suppose to be "painless"...

Somehow, "painless" and wiring does not relate...

I've got wires, lots, and, lots, of wires...

For my trouble, I get new relays...

And, a new fuse block...

Battery to the right rear with, you guessed it, more wires...

Connecting to the instrument panel... Looking better...

To remind me how "painless" this is...

I pre-wired the engine before placing it in the car... Trying to keep a neat bay...

Routing the front lamp wiring in an inconspicuous way...

This is a grueling task. At least with the kit there is some method to the madness. I can't imagine starting this ordeal with nothing but spools of wire. Talk about a mess. I use these "Painless Wiring" harnesses in the Cobra kits I build, and, have come to value the product. At the end of the day, I still have my sanity.

I had nothing but the wiring harness out of a piece of Caterpillar mining equipment to strip new wire out of... hahaha
And, no original wiring. Took me almost two days to wire everything. I need to strip the car, and redo most of it. I want to run it different.

I feel you "painless" man. Wiring can be fun. I am a sick man, and I enjoy it.

If it means anything, you're doing a good job from what I can see. Everything looks great.
