1987 300zx na motor noises

I just recently purchased a 87 300zx. it was great but after about 100 miles it started making a weird noise. It sounds like there is something kinda bouncing around in the motor kitting everything. I think there might either be something in the oil pan or maybe a chipped tooth on the flywheel that fell in the bellhousing. I also feel a little vibration in the shifter when it makes the noises. If anyone has any idea what this could be any help would be greatly appreciated. and also how hard is it to pull the oil pan. Thanks

easier to drop the tranny and see if anything in there. have to hold the motor with a crane and probably drop the subframe to pull the oil pan.

actually I looked into it more and it sounded like the noise was coming from the belts in the front. then all of a sudden the motor dies. I went to turn it over and it just made a loud squeal and turned over super slow. I took the water pump belt off and I couldn't turn the water pump pulley by hand so dou you think it could possibly be a bad water pump

yep and it might have a busted the timing belt also. but you got to take all the tin off the front of the engine to do the water pump so you will know about the timing belt pretty soon.

Yes I think it is the water pump because I took off the belt to the water pump and then it fired right up and the noise was gone. so im just gonna replace the water pump and probably do a timing belt while im at it
