Wow - Magnecor Wire Set

FYI - For those needing new ignition wires. Just installed a set of Magnecor spark plug wires (#6560). The wires are 8.5MM but still fit in the factory wire looms with a little persuasion. Look great under the hood in red and fit as good as factory. Got mine from Nipponpower.com around $100. With the new cap/rotor/pcv & and ign.wires the car idles great.

FYI - Replacing the fuel filter made a big difference on my car. Looks like the dealer didn't replace it when he did the injector recall earlier this year. The filter had been replaced (non-Nissan) somewhere in the 65K miles my car has on it, but it was very dirty and obviously not flowing like the new one now does.

After I got the car tuned up, I also put on a JWT ECU upgrade last night and it helped throttle tip-in and seems like I was getting a getter faster boost spool-up. Can't wait to really get her out to play with!
I'd post some jpeg.s but couldn't get them to come over? Oh well.

Trying to keep this 88 Turbo SS stealthy, healthy and discrete.

and you could have bought nissan OEM wires which are more then enough for anything that stock coil, or even a larger coil, can put out for 45$

Re: Wow - Magnecor Wire Set

Totally agree the OEM wires are good enough for the stock ignition system. What I didn't like was how stiff and rigid they (6mm) had become underneath the hood in the high heat environment of a Z-Turbo engine compartment. I was looking for great fitting wires, but they would also handle the heat load better. I like the overkill and hopefully I at least have peice of mind!
